Terms of Service

These Terms & Conditions outline the services provided by Kristine Alison Estate Photography and what you can expect when making a booking.

1. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once a date and time have been agreed upon. For larger shoots or properties requiring preparation, please provide as much notice as possible. If access details, gate codes or instructions are required, please supply them before the shoot.

2. Property Readiness

To ensure the best possible results, the property should be:

  • Clean, tidy and free of clutter

  • All lights working and turned on

  • Blinds and curtains open (unless otherwise requested)

  • Personal items removed where possible

  • Pets secured (see below.)

If the property is not prepared, it will be photographed as presented at the time of the shoot.

*A detailed Home Preparation Guide will be provided to the homeowner prior to the photography session.

3. Safety & Property Access

If the property is occupied, please ensure all occupants are aware of the appointment.

  • Safe access must be provided to all areas required for photography.

  • I may decline entry to unsafe areas or situations.

4. Pets

For everyone’s safety and to help the session run smoothly, please ensure all pets are secured before the shoot begins. This prevents them from accidentally appearing in photos, keeps them safe around equipment, and allows me to move through the property efficiently. Pets are welcome to come back out once all photography is completed.

5. Turnaround Time

  • Standard turnaround for photography is within 24 hours.

  • Larger shoots may require additional editing time.

  • If additional time is required, you will be notified in advance.

6. Editing & Retouching

All images are professionally edited.

Standard editing includes:

Colour correction Exposure balancing

HDR/exposure blending Straightening and lens correction

Sky replacements (where needed) Grass replacement (where needed)

TV screen replacements Adding fire to fireplaces

Reducing reflections in glass and mirrors Small object removal (bins, cords, small items)

Extensive editing, including large object removal, landscaping changes, digital staging or structural alterations, is available at an additional cost.

7. Drone & Aerial Work

All drone work is carried out under CASA Excluded Category rules. Flights may be postponed or cancelled due to:

  • Weather

  • Safety concerns

  • Airspace restrictions

  • CASA compliance requirements

If drone work cannot be completed, alternative ground images will be provided where possible.

8. Copyright & Image Usage

The images are to be used to market the property they were created for, for the duration of the listing. This includes online listings, brochures, social media and any marketing directly related to that property.

Images must not be:

  • Resold

  • Given to third parties (such as builders, stylists, architects or vendors)

  • Used for future listings or different properties

  • Used for long‑term commercial or promotional purposes without written approval

If you wish to use the images beyond the original listing, please contact us to discuss additional licensing options.

9. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due within 7 days of invoice.

  • Late payments may incur a late fee.

  • Delivered images may be withheld until outstanding invoices have been paid.

10. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • More than 24 hours’ notice: no fee

  • Less than 24 hours’ notice: $50 cancellation fee

  • Same‑day cancellation or property not accessible: full fee may apply

Weather‑related rescheduling is free of charge.

11. Travel Fees

Travel within my standard service area is included. Locations outside this area may incur a travel fee, quoted at the time of booking.

12. Image Delivery

  • Images are delivered via an online gallery or download link.

  • Files are supplied in high‑resolution JPEG format.

  • RAW files are not provided unless agreed in writing.

13. Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Ensuring the property is ready

  • Ensuring all utilities required for photography (such as lighting) are operational where possible.

  • Providing accurate access instructions

  • Communicating any special requests before the shoot

  • Reviewing the delivered images promptly

14. Weather Conditions

If weather affects the shoot:

  • Interior photography will proceed as normal

  • Exterior or drone work may be rescheduled

  • Sky replacements will be used where appropriate

15. Use of Images for my portfolio

I may use selected images from shoots for my website, social media or general marketing to showcase my work. If you do not wish your images to be used for marketing purposes, please advise us prior to the photography session.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kristine Alison Estate Photography’s liability for any claim arising from the provision of our services is limited to re-supplying the services or refunding the amount paid for the affected services.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable legislation.

17. Unforeseen circumstances

Kristine Alison Estate Photography is not liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control preventing us from providing the scheduled services, including severe weather, natural disasters, illness, accidents, road closures, or government restrictions, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative date. We will not be liable for delays or cancellations resulting from these circumstances.

18. Refunds

Due to the nature of photography services, refunds are not available once a photography session has been completed. If there is an issue with the delivered images, reasonable efforts will be made to address the concern.
